The AV3 power system requirements
We have a 14.8 V @ 8 AHr battery pack. We'd like to charge the pack at roughly 1 C, so that's about 8 A from the shore power connector into the batteries.
The avionics system requirements should be roughly similar to 2005 LV2's avionics system, which was about 36 W. However, we have more stuff going on, including a possible FPGA, a bunch of motor control boards, and who knows what else. Expanding the LV2 power consumption by 1.5, we get about 50 W load which is 14.8 V @ 3.4 and 10V @ 5 A. This is not a good quantitative analysis, but the AV3 system is in pretty high flux right now so we'll take that and run with it.
